ADMISSIONS AND ATTENDANCE OFFICER

Salary: £25,237  36 hours per week.  Term time only.

Required from:  May 2021

We are seeking to recruit an Admissions and Attendance Officer to work across all schools within The Pegasus Academy Trust : Ecclesbourne Primary, Whitehorse Manor Infants, Whitehorse Manor Juniors, Beulah Infants and Cypress Primary School.  The Trust’s business office where this post is based is at Cypress Primary School but this job requires working across all sites in the Trust.

The successful candidate will :

  • have an understanding of the role in a school setting and/or within an attendance role;
  • be able to support staff and work with external agencies to reduce levels of absence;
  • be able to work with children and families to promote high levels of attendance;
  • possess integrity and commitment respecting the need for confidentiality;
  • engender confidence and respect from pupils, staff, parents and carers;
  • be able to develop and maintain effective partnerships between parents, carers and staff;
  • be able to remain calm in sensitive or potentially volatile situations;
  • have excellent communication skills;
  • have a comprehensive working knowledge of SIMS Word and Excel (although training can be given on SIMS);
  • be committed to the highest standards of education and pastoral care for all pupils;
  • have a strategic overview of the Trust’s admissions arrangements;
  • understand and display commitment to equality of opportunity.
