Premises Manager

The Crescent Primary School has a vacancy for a Premises Manager to start as soon as possible.

We are an oversubscribed 3-form entry stand-alone primary academy.

We are looking for an experienced, professional and highly skilled Premises Manager to take responsibility for the premises management of our school.  Responsibilities include ensuring a safe and secure working environment for our children and staff, dealing with planned and day to day building and equipment maintenance, ensuring that the Health and Safety Policy is implemented at all times, working with the School’s contractors, and ensuring that the school cleaners operate to the high quality standards expected by the school.

You will be responsible for line management of two full time Assistant Premises Managers and have oversight of the School’s Contracted Cleaning Staff.

We need someone who is pro-active, hard-working and who has a general range of building maintenance skills including plumbing, gardening, carpentry, decorating. The ideal post holder will be able to deal with day to day repairs around the school as well as use their knowledge, skills and experience to deal with more complex systems such as the school’s heating, energy management and electrical systems, calling on our contractors when required.

  • Annual Salary: NJC Grade 7 Pts 23-25 £29,766 – £30,708
  • 28 Days Paid Annual leave excluding Bank Holidays

Hours are: 36 hours per week excluding unpaid lunch breaks, 52 weeks per year.

School Hours are between 6.00am and 6.30pm with the Premises Team working shifts within these hours. The post holder must be willing and able to work flexible hours if required by the Head teacher.
