Required from: September 2019

We wish to appoint a skilled and creative Year 2 teacher to join our team at The Pegasus Academy Trust.  The role will be based at either our Cypress Primary School site or our Whitehorse Manor Infants site – within a 5 min drive of each other in Thornton heath and South Norwood.  You will be joining a team of other experienced teachers who plan together and share expertise.  These schools have a long history of good attainment and are both rated by Ofsted as ‘Good’ schools with outstanding leadership and management.  We have excellent resources and continuing professional development and pay due regard to workload with all additional expectations carefully managed so that teachers have time to achieve their core purpose – producing high quality lessons for their class.  This role would not suit an NQT due to the expectations around KS2 assessment.

We are seeking a teacher who will:

  • Be an excellent practitioner who can inspire and motivate children in this age group;
  • Form good working relationships with the children under their care and the families who support them;
  • Be proactive and creative in how learning might be delivered and improved upon in future;
  • Be a good team worker who can meet deadlines and play their part in a wider team;
  • Be committed to developing their own pedagogy;

We can offer:

  • Children who are well behaved, enthusiastic and keen to learn;
  • Dedicated colleagues who are committed to making a difference;
  • Good opportunities for professional development and further promotion;
  • A well resourced Trust with established senior leadership;

Visits are strongly encouraged and can arranged by contacting Lynne Sampson, Executive Principal via Maxine Watson in the Trust’s business office.

Telephone: (Maxine Watson) 020 8683 5901;
Closing date for applications: Friday 26th April at 12 midday

This trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  This post requires and enhanced DBS check
