About Croydon

A hub of living, retailing, culture and business in South London

Although Croydon has a well known and vibrant town centre the borough itself stretches far beyond this to the north and south.  In the north our neighbours are the London boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark – metropolitan, inner city areas and in the south we border the Surrey County Council districts of Tandridge, Reigate and Banstead.  Any journey through the borough would  take you from urban to sub urban to the beginning of what we might call the English countryside.  Our schools reflect these changing surroundings and it would be difficult to define a ‘typical’ Croydon school.  However, what we all share is a desire to make a difference and to do the very best for the children and students in our care.

Great changes are underway in Croydon as the borough revitalises itself to meet the needs of a growing population and cements its place as a hub of living, retailing, culture and business in South London. Our schools have also undergone organisational changes and capital improvements unseen for a generation.  We invite you to  join us to teach in Croydon, or support great teaching, and take the next step in your career with us.
