HEAD OF SCHOOL – Cypress Primary, Upper School site

Leadership Scale 17-21 with Outer London weighting

Tenable from April 2026

The Pegasus Academy Trust is a group of five schools based across seven sites located in Thornton Heath and South Norwood in the London Borough of Croydon. We are seeking to recruit a Head of School at Cypress Primary School (Upper Site) tenable from April 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum, attainment, teaching and learning and support for pupils in KS2 at Cypress. They will join a strong senior leadership in the Trust with five other Heads of School already in post including the Head of the Lower School. The Executive Headteachers and Chief Financial Officer deal with issues of strategy and management. If you are an Assistant or Deputy Head Teacher who has experience in raising levels of attainment and you want an opportunity to focus purely on teaching and learning, rather than the wider range of duties of a traditional Headteacher, then we would be keen to hear from you.

You will need to be able to demonstrate that you are an excellent teacher, with strong curriculum skills, that you understand how to get the best from a wide range of children and that you have the desire to make a difference.
