Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint:

2 enthusiastic and experienced Key Stage 2  1:1 Teaching Assistants starting 1st September 2025

Grade 3 – Scale point 5-7    £28,521-29,346 FTE – Actual salary £22,914-£23,576 paid in 12 equal monthly instalments (Pay scales subject to change following NJC pay scale increases from April 2025 currently being negotiated).

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic and committed KS2 Teaching Assistants to work with children who require 1:1 support (although at times may be required to carry out other roles e.g. work with groups of pupils/ oversee a class).

Key to your success will be:

  • Experience of working in a school setting with pupils, ideally at KS2 level, including pupils with additional support needs;
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understand classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these;
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Excellent initiative and able to demonstrate the ability to problem solve and react quickly and effectively to resolve situations that arise;
  • Establishing productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model whilst planning, implementing and developing 1:1 mentoring arrangements;
  • Outstanding people skills;
  • Excellent oral, written and numerical skills;
  • Able to support and actively promote the Catholic ethos of the school.
