Teaching Assistant & Cover Supervisor

Interview: Wednesday 9th July Salary: Grade 5 – Point 13 £23,720.00 annual (FTE £31,986)
Hours: 30 hours/week – term time only – Monday-Friday 8.15 am-3.15 pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/Cover Supervisor to join our two-form entry school.
To work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision to support and deliver learning programmes with individuals or groups, both in and outside of the classroom. The role may involve assisting with planning, preparation of resources, and supervision of classes during short-term teacher absence. The primary focus is to support learning, promote independence, and maintain a positive, inclusive environment for all pupils.

We are looking for a candidate who:

Holds a technical/professional qualification related to the role. E.g, NNEB or other relevant qualifications at level 2 or 3;
Is qualified to GCSE level in English and Maths and is competent in IT;
Has the ability to plan, and deliver specified work to individual pupils, groups and the whole class under the direction of a qualified teacher;
Has skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all pupils including those with SEND or those with other barriers to learning;
Has high expectations of children’s achievement, progress and behaviour;
Is a pro-active team member • Is able to build relationship with parents, staff and children;
Will respect and maintain confidentiality • Is committed to promoting the ethos and values of the school.
